Guy Sayles served as a pastor for over thirty years, most recently at the First Baptist Church of Asheville, NC. He’s currently Assistant Professor of Religion at Mars Hill University, an adjunct faculty member at the Divinity School of Gardner Webb University, a consultant with the Center for Healthy Churches, a member of the Board of Directors of the Baptist Center for Ethics, and transitional pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Asheville. He is married to Anita Plunkett Sayles, also an ordained Baptist minister, and they have two grown children. His theological education includes a Doctor of Ministry from the Candler School of Theology of Emory University. He blogs at FromTheInstersection.org.
