Enneagram & Relationships
Season 3, Episode 9 – Type 6 and Type 8 in Relationship
Brian Hollingsworth & Anna Fleig
Brian (6) was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is the middle child of three brothers, a fact which he credits for his interests in mediation, ministry, and mental health counseling, fields which he has pursued through earning his Master of Divinity at WFU School of Divinity, and soon his Masters in Counseling at UNC Greensboro. In addition to being a lifelong student, Brian enjoys participating in the arts through theatre, painting, and music, and loves to spend as much time as he can outdoors.
Anna (8) is a mental health counselor in Winston Salem, the pastor at Christ Community Church in Pfafftown, North Carolina. She holds master’s degrees in Divinity and Counseling and uses her training and education to help others heal, grow, and cultivate meaningful relationships. In addition to her work in the community, she is passionate about fostering healthy conversations about faith and sexuality, both inside and outside the church. Anna loves to spend time with family and friends, especially her two teenage children who inspire her to be silly and laugh daily.
Both Type 6 and Type 8 are courageous, loyal, protective and committed to worthy causes. They both can energetically support their relationship, and share the view that the world is fundamentally an unfriendly and untrustworthy place. With this perspective they also can be oppositional, contrary, controlling, challenging and suspicious.
